Distribution: Africa: found in drainage systems of Lake Victoria, Lake Albert and Katonga River in Uganda (Ref. 59344), in the Sio River floodplain and near Ahero in Kenya (Ref. 52331) and in the Lake Victoria system in Tanzania (Ref. 59344). Might occur further north in the Nile system (Ref. 59344).
