Biology:	Inhabits rivers (Ref. 1441). Piedmont and montane stretches of rivers and streams with stone or gravel bottom. Feeds on invertebrates, terrestrial insects and diatoms. In still-water habitats, feeds on terrestrial insects and zooplankton (Ref. 59043)
