Distribution: Africa: shore weeds and shallow parks in lake Orsedi and the Suksuk river drainage near lake Zwai, in southern Ethiopia, Lake Naivasha and inflowing streams near Nairobi, southern Kenya.
Biology: An aberrant population was found in the deeper parts of lake Naivasha. May now be extinct in Kenya due to the introduction of Tilapia and Micropterus salmoides (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139)
