Distribution: Africa: lower Tano River drainage in southwestern Ghana, lower Comoé, Banco, Boudo, Bia, Mé, lower Bandama, lower Sassandra and Cavally river drainages in the southern Côte d'Ivoire. Recorded from Liberia (Ref. 27139).
Biology: Occurs an small forest rivers and brooks in the swampy rain forest on the coastal plain (Ref. 7372). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139)
