Diagnosis:   Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Well developed lips with visible chin lobe. Lips maybe hypertrophied (rubber-lips). Well developed barbels. Last simple dorsal forms a strong spine ossified longer than head length in adults. Upper idea of dorsal concave and longest ray of dorsal fin is 1st branchial ray. Gill rakers on 1st branchial arch. Color generally yellowish to greenish, fins without color, dorsal and caudal sometimes tainted red-violet. Dorsal: 4 simple, 9-10 branched. Anal: 3 simple, 5 branched.
