Distribution: Africa: Little Scarcies basin, west of Côte d'Ivoire, and east of Liberia.
Diagnosis:   Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Dorsal profile slightly rounded; pointed head. Long barbels - anterior extending past posterior border, posterior largely extending past the posterior border. Complete lateral line to the dark median band (from opercle to origin of caudal). Scales from back with brown pigments. Brown of pigments form longitudinal rays on back, 2nd and 3rd row of scales above lateral lines. Scales below lateral without pigments. Dorsal and anal with 3 simple rays.
