Distribution: Africa: Lake Mweru Wantipa and upper Lualaba river drainages in southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and in drainage systems of Lake Mweru, Lake Young, Luombo river and Chambezi river in northeastern Zambia (Ref. 47311). Also reported from Luongo River (Congo basin) in Zambia (Ref. 27609), Lake Rukwa drainage in Tanzania (Ref. 27292) and the Okavango system in Namibia (Ref. 33857).
Biology: Occurs in swampy, shallow parts of lakes and river drainages (Ref. 3788, 47311). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139)
