Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Borneo, New Guinea, Philippines and Fiji. Reported from Palau (Ref. 6371), Australia (Ref. 7300) and New Caledonia (Ref. 13246, 13235).
Biology: Occurs in lentic and lotic freshwater (Ref. 7300) and found in estuarine and marine habitats (Ref. 6028). Usually found within 20-30 km of the sea at a maximum elevation of about 30-40 m (Ref. 2847, 44894)
