Diagnosis:   Color: light grayish brown to white ventrally; body with about 7 oblique to nearly vertical oval brown blotches or bars along sides; usually with a prominent pale-edged, vertically elongate brown blotch behind head (Ref. 44894).
Biology: Inhabit mangrove estuaries as well as clear rainforest streams near the sea (Ref. 44894)
