Diagnosis:	Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Slightly convex dorsal profile. Large mouth with relatively long barbels: anterior reaching posterior half of eye; posterior extending past posterior eye border. Lateral line dipping below dorsal. Longitudinal narrow black band from opercle to caudal fin, base a bit curving upwards under dorsal fin. Dorsal and anal with 3 simple rays.
