Comments: Type specimen was collected in 1921 from Dansalan, Lake Lanao, together with Barbodes katolo (Ref. 2929). No specimen was caught during the 1994 expedition (Ref. 10888) and 2008 survey (Ref. 95183). Also Ref. 280, 12255, 13446, 70969, 94476.

This species has no status in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Mar. 2011: Ref. 86697). The genus validity has to be investigated. Please send references, or more studies are needed.
