Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 20 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Florida (from Miami to Keys) and northeastern Gulf of Mexico in USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits coral reefs and inshore grassy and rocky areas. Forms schools. Mainly herbivorous. Depth range assumed (RF).
