Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine; depth range - 18 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf to Pakistan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Caudal fin rounded, a little shorter than head.
Biology:  Found in burrows on mud or silty sand bottoms.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 19 July 2017 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
