Family:  Adrianichthyidae (Ricefishes), subfamily: Adrianichthyinae
Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Endemic to Lake Poso, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal soft rays: 25-25; Vertebrae: 36-36. Having orbits projecting beyond dorsal profile of head; paired preethmoid cartilages; 13-16 dorsal-fin rays. Its lower jaw is enclosed in the upper jaw, however, the upper jaw is not as large and broadly expanded. Scales in lateral series 63-65; having the lateral process of pelvic bone in line with fifth pleural rib (Ref. 54508).
Biology:  This species is likely to be pelagic (Ref. 54508).
