Distribution:  Asia: endemic to Beysehir Gölü, Central Anatolia, Turkey.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A short-lived species which occurs in lakes. Is threatened due to the introduction of other species and overfishing (Ref. 26100).
IUCN Red List Status: Extinct (EX); Date assessed: 18 March 2013 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
