Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 800 - 1315 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Arabian sea between Maldives and Cape Comorin; Indonesia and Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11. Body pinkish to chocolate-brown, head grayish-black or dark gray, snout black, fins light gray (Ref. 33731).
