Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 439 - 1080 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: ranging to the Ryukyu Trough.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-22; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 28-29. Pored scales in lateral line more than 60. Anal fin rays numerous. Base of anal fin extending backward much beyond the posterior end of the dorsal fin. Orbit diameter less than two-thirds of snout length. Reaches 24 cm SL.
