Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 6-6. Description: Characterized by reddish color with eight brown bars or elongate spots on body; head with three bars; base of dorsal fin with three large dark brown spots; lower five pectoral rays unbranched; presence of palatine teeth; greatest depth of body 3.1 in SL
Biology:  Known from a single specimen collected more than 150 years ago at Molucca Islands, Indonesia (Ref 90102).
