Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: India and Sri Lanka.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits ponds, slow-flowing streams and canals (Ref. 41236). Prefers still water with a mud substrate in the dry zone. In aquarium, it feeds on phytoplankton (Ref. 6028).
