Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 6-8; Anal soft rays: 8-10. Head length 34.6-38.2% SL; head color of breeding individuals green-yellow; presence of gray interorbital bar; distance between the snout and the origin of the dorsal fin 41.6-47.5% SL (Ref. 75014).
