Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Hawaii. Northwest Atlantic: Bermuda.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-15; Anal soft rays: 15-15. Black with a silvery grey sheen (Ref. 37473).
Biology:  Meso- and bathypelagic (Ref. 58302).
