Max. size:  5.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 75 - 1650 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Gambia south to Namibia. Western Atlantic: off USA. Eastern Pacific: western part of the California Current region (Ref. 35904); also Chile (Ref. 9068).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Vertebrae: 33-35
Biology:  Meso- (Ref. 559) and bathypelagic (Ref. 58302).
