Max. size:  35 cm SL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 470.0 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Trans-Andean river basins of Colombia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A 16.93 cm TL specimen (girth 28 cm) caught from Quebrada la Compania, Columbia weighed 1.125 kg (G. Kelley, IGFA application for all-tackle records, pers. comm., 10/2002).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 October 2014 Ref. (130435)
