Max. size:  3.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 5 - 6 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa to Guam. Recently reported from Tonga (Ref. 53797).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 6-7. Head and body white with black marks (Ref. 2798).
Biology:  Collected from coral reefs (Ref. 37816).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 June 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
