Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Tampico, Mexico to Belize.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits coastal waters, estuaries and lagoons, penetrating into freshwater. Spawning occurs in fresh or low brackish water. Feeds on fish and crustaceans.
