Family:  Pseudopimelodidae (Bumblebee catfishes, dwarf marbled catfishes)
Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7.5; dH range: 20
Distribution:  South America: Sipaliwini River basin, Suriname.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in pools and in the backwater of rapids and fast streams with sand, rocks, and decaying wood on the bottom. Found together with Bryconops caudomaculatus, Characidium blennoides, Pimelodella cristata, Leporinus friderici and Astyanax meunieri (Ref. 35381).
