Max. size:  39 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; depth range - 2 m
Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Indonesia east to Fiji; north to the Philippines and south to New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Very little available data. Possibly ascending some way up rivers. Oviparous, eggs are pelagic and non-adhesive (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
