Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 10 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from Oman.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-22; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 19-19; Vertebrae: 24-24. Caudal fin slightly rounded.
Biology:  Inhabit rocky and coral reefs (Ref. 9710). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Form pairs during breeding (Ref. 205).
