Distribution:  Central America: Michoacán, Mexico. Probably extinct in the wild.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  According to aquarists, the species prefers live food. Thought to be extinct in the wild as their spring area has been claimed. Males can be recognized by a notched anal fin.
