Biology: |
Mainly in waters of moderate to high current velocity between 525 and 695 m elevation, also abundant in a pool with much vegetation and little current. More abundant in waters of greater current velocity. Always swims near a grass or undergrowth refuge over muddy or sand bottoms. Eats aquatic insects (Ref. 36880). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139). |
