Distribution:  Eastern Pacific Ocean: Islas Revillagigedos including Isla San Benedicto, Isla Socorro and Isla Clarion.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from D. pectoralis and D. fallax by having the following characters: scales present above the lateral line; upper lip fimbriae 10-11; preopercular canal pores, modally 10; unbranched labial fimbriae (Ref. 82814).
