Family:  Zoarcidae (Eelpouts), subfamily: Lycodinae
Max. size:  22.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Puerto Deseado, Argentina, south to Tierra del Fuego.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits the intertidal zone, where it spawns, to the inner shelf. It may occur deeper than 40 m (Ref. 11954).

Threat to humans:  harmless
