Environment:  bathypelagic; marine, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Mozambique Channel south to about 26°S, Arabian Sea to 12°S, off Sumatra, and southeast Asian seas.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 14-16
Biology:  Oceanic and mesopelagic.
