Family:  Callionymidae (Dragonets)
Max. size:  8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 9 - 27 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean and Western Pacific: southern Japan and the Ryukyu Islands (Ref. 559) and from the west and east coasts of Australia around 30°S (Ref. 41299).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on sandy bottoms of rocky or coral reefs (Ref. 43239).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 24 March 2022 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
