Family:  Liopropomatidae (Painted basslets), subfamily: Diploprioninae
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range - 10 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky and coral reefs. Hides behind big non-predatory fishes to get to its prey.
