Max. size:  95 cm TL (male/unsexed); 137.1 cm TL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 446 - 1328 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits upper and mid-continental slope (Ref. 114953). Observed lengths for adolescent males, between 77.6 and ca. 85.5 cm TL and smallest juvenile 20.2 cm TL (ref. 75649).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 24 April 2015 Ref. (130435)
