Max. size:  4.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Inhaca Island, Mozambique and Durban, South Africa. Southeast Atlantic: eastern Cape Province, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. Uniformly buff or darker in color, with black pigment spots (Ref. 4405).
Biology:  Occurs in rocky tide pools and along the shore.
