Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: found only in Edisto, Savannah and Altamaha River drainages of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 December 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
