Family:  Cyprinodontidae (Pupfishes), subfamily: Cyprinodontinae
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; brackish; marine, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: southeastern Florida in USA and Gulf of Mexico. Yucatan to Honduras (Ref. 26938).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mostly found in marine, on tidal flats and creeks, but enters brackish water (Ref. 7251). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
