Family:  Fundulidae (Topminnows and killifishes)
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in the USA from Suwannee River drainage in Florida to Perdido River drainage in Alabama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits vegetated sloughs, swamps, and quiet pools and backwaters of streams. 7.8 cm max TL (Ref. 5723). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
