Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: western part of the Sala y Gomez Ridge.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 224-224; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 175-175; Vertebrae: 139-142. Fins with light margins; lateral line canal pores 7-15 along its upper margin; eye small, 17.2-19.0 % HL; lateral line system: supraorbital 6, infraorbital 8, postorbital 2, preopercular-mandibular 10, occipital commissure 3 (Ref. 41744).
