Distribution:  Central America: Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits creeks of moderate current velocity between 80 and 980 m elevation, over sand, gravel or mud substrata. Feeds on aquatic insects especially dipterans (Ref. 36880).
