Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-10. This species is distinguished by the following characters: the scales extend ventral to second dorsal fin along septum to hypural base, well-developed on caudal peduncle; mostly cycloid scales with a few ctenoid ones along midline; 19 pectoral rays; no conical teeth on lower jaw; spotted midlateral stripe slightly ventral to septum (Ref. 39342). |
Collected above a series of waterfalls, together with Sicyopus discordipinnis and Stiphodon birdsong (Ref. 39342). |
