Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 457 - 1152 m
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: southern Namibia (Ref. 27121) and from the Cape to East London in South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 58-61; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 46-48. Greyish in color.
Biology:  Inhabits the continental slope (Ref. 6606).
