Family:  Trichiuridae (Cutlassfishes), subfamily: Lepidopodinae
Max. size:  69 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: known only from Isla Isabela, Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 89-89; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 50-50. Dorsal head profile slightly convex, interorbital space slightly concave. Second anal-fin spine flat and plate-like. Pelvic spine reduced to 1 scale-like spine and 1 - 2 tiny rays. Color of body light tan, head uniformly brown.
Biology:  Habitat is unknown (holotype found dead in a cove). Maximum standard length was recorded only from the holotype.
