Max. size:  11.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range - 5 m
Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Indonesia, western Caroline Islands and southeastward to Fiji.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-29
Biology:  Adults inhabit streams and rivers. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
