Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 345 - 350 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Australia.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 150-151. This species is distinguished by the following characters: body rather robust, depth at anus 19% preanal length; dorsal origin over middle of pectoral; branchial aperture large and in front of pectoral base; simple snout plicae (folds); numerous, molariform vomerine teeth; vertebrae 150-151; lateral line pores before anus 28-30; scattered over ventrolateral and ventral surface of trunk are numerous, minute, sensory structures (Ref. 87005).
