Max. size:  3.01 cm SL (male/unsexed); 2.81 cm SL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  South America: Formoso River drainage of the Araguaia River basin in Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected from interconnected small pools, adjacent to a Vereda which is about 20 cm deep (Ref. 59346).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 (D2) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
