Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: known only from the Strait of Messina (Sicily) in the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Pelvic fin reaching the anal fin. Scales much longer than high. Soft dorsal and anal fins distally dark.
Biology:  This is a non-territorial species.
