Max. size:  6.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from a juvenile specimen collected in the Tawarin River, northern Irian Jaya, Indonesia in 1903.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 42-42
Biology:  Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
